ASP-DAC 2000 Authors' Guide Contents
The following is a list of important notices. Please read each item
carefully and take any necessary actions in a timely manner.
- Verification of the Paper Title and the Authors List
The title of your paper and the authors' names and their affiliation(s)
will appear in the final program and the proceedings exactly as printed
in the advance program on this WEB page. We would like you to check
them all very carefully and report
any errors to the Conference Secretariat (Japan Electronics Show
Association) by mail, fax, or
e-mail as soon as possible.
To Advance
Technical Program
- Advance Registration
It is the policy of ASP-DAC this year that all speakers of accepted
papers must register in advance. Those papers with no pre-registrated
speakers will be treated as being withdrawn and the paper will be
deleted from the proceedings. Please make sure you register in advance
and on time. The deadline is December 22, 1999.
If the speaker feels that pre-registration by the deadline will be
difficult, please consult the Conference Secretariat beforehand.

- Final Camera-Ready Manuscript
Your camera-ready version must comply with the specifications detailed
in the Author's Guide enclosed herein. The major points are as follows:
- The contents of the final paper must address any comments made
by reviewers, but must also maintain the essential contents from the
paper originally submitted.
- The paper size is A4 or 8 1/2" x 11" (21.5cm x 27.9cm).
- The limit for a regular paper is six (6) pages .
The six-page limit may be increased to as many as 10 pages at a cost of
15,000 yen per page (The absolute page limit is 10 pages.)

- The limit for a short paper is four (4) pages . The
four-page limit cannot be increased for short papers.
The due date is November 12, 1999. Late papers might not be appear in
the proceedings.
- Final Manuscript for CD-ROM
ASP--DAC 2000 publishes its Proceedings on CD-ROM as well as in normal
paper form. In addition to your camera-ready version, an electronic
submission is required for the CD-ROM. The electronic submission is
also due by November 12, 1999. Please refer to the instruction
sheet for details. Pay special attention to the information about fonts,
as what font you use will affect the readability of your paper on the
CD-ROM.

- IEEE Copyright Form
The IEEE Copyright Form must be signed and returned with your
camera-ready manuscript. If you need an electronic version of the form,
it can be obtained from IEEE
COPYRIGHT FORM .
- Reprint Order Form
The Reprint Order Form should also be enclosed if you require
reprints.

- Speaker's Biography Form
Please fill in the speaker's biography form and
return it with the final camera-ready manuscript.

- Note for VISA
People from certain country need to apply VISA, which may take a long
time.
Therefore, for those who need to apply, please prepare to do so as
soon as possible. If you need detailed information,
please consult the Japanese embassy in your country.
- Travel Grant Program
ASP--DAC 2000 will make a limited number of partial travel support
grants to worthy conference participants. If you are interested in the
program, please read the announcements enclosed and make a prompt
request.

- Presentation
30 minutes are allocated for each regular paper (25 minutes for
presentation followed by a 5-minute question and answer period).
15 minutes are allocated for each short paper (12 minutes for
presentation followed by a 3-minute question and answer period).
Since attendees at the conference often move from paper to paper in
different sessions, it will be imperative that this time allocation
be strictly adhered to.
PC presentation using PowerPoint is advised. Overhead
Projector is also provided. Presenters using PC is also requested
to bring their overhead transparencies for backup purpose. Please read
the below "Audio-Visual Guide" carefully.
- Submission of the Draft of the
Transparencies or PC Presentation
Speakers are required to send the drafts of their transparencies or PC
Presentation file (PowerPoint 97/2000)
beforehand, so that they can be checked by the session organizers.
Please send your drafts to the Conference Secretariat (Japan
Electronics Show Association) by
January 7, 2000. Upload environment for submitting the
PowerPoint file will be
announced at http://www.aspdac.com/upload/ at the end of November.
- Speakers' Breakfast
A speakers' breakfast will be held on the day of your presentation.
Session co-chairs and all speaker of the session should
meet in advance for informal self-introduction
and discussion of the presentation material. Any special requests
to the session co-chairs can also be made here.
The meeting is scheduled form 8:00AM to 8:45AM in the morning of
the day your session will be held. The meeting place is not yet
determined at this moment. Please ask the location at the registration
desk on the day.
A breakfast provided is continental. Only donuts and coffee/tea will
be served.
Please direct any corrections of paper titles and authors' names
and affiliations,
the camera-ready, a draft of the transparencies or PC presentation
files, and
any questions to the Conference Secretariat:
