Call for Participation Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference 2003 (ASP-DAC 2003) January 21 -- 24, 2003 Kitakyushu International Conference Center, Kitakyushu, JAPAN http://www.aspdac.com/ Aims of the Conference:  ASP-DAC 2003 is the eighth in a series of annual International Conferences on Design Automation. Asia and South Pacific Region is one of the most active regions of design and fabrication of silicon chips in the world. The conference aims at providing the Asian and South Pacific CAD/DA and Design community with opportunities of interchanging ideas and collaboratively discussing the directions of the technologies related to Embedded System Design, System-on-a-Chip, Deep Submicron Technologies and a variety of New Applications. Features of ASP-DAC 2003: We have three excellent keynote speakers, Prof. Geonvanni De Micheli(Stanford Univ.), Prof. Tadahiro Ohmi (Tohoku Univ.) and Dr. Yervant Zorian (Virage Logic), who will talk about future directions of Semiconductor Industries and SoC design technologies. The Technical Program Committee reviewed 235 papers from 22 countries to organize the outstanding program. 119 papers are selected for presentation in the Conference. The program also includes a session for design examples and 3 panel discussions. Three fullday and two half-day tutorials are scheduled to give complete introductions of state-of-the-art design/CAD topics. The University LSI Design Contest is also an important event of ASP-DAC, which focuses a real chip design in academia. The Design Contest Committee selected 17 designs for presentation, from which winners of design awards will be announced in the conference.
