Visa Information

All entrants to Australia require a visa to be granted before arrival. To attend ASP-DAC 2012, you will require a visa for business purposes. There are three types of visa available, depending on your home country. Please see this document for detailed information about these, or read below for summaries

eVisitor Visa

eVisitor visas are free, can be applied for online and are the best option if applicable to your country. This visa type applies to the following countries:

  • Finland *

  • Germany *

  • Monaco *
  • The Netherlands *
  • Norway *
  • Poland

  • Switzerland *
  • United Kingdom – British Citizen *
  • Vatican city

Those countries marked with an asterisk(*) may instead apply for an ETA if they wish.

Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)

The ETA can be applied for either online or through your travel agent. There is a AU$20 fee for applying online and travel agents may apply a fee for requesting this on your behlaf. In addition to the countries marked above with an asterisk (*), people with passports from the following countries are eligible for this visa type.

  • Brunei
  • Canada
  • Hong Kong (SAR)
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • United States of America

Business (Short Stay) Visa (Subclass 456)

This visa application is required for all visitors that do not have passports from the above countries. You are required to apply for this visa at an Australian visa office and should do this two months before your travel date.
