ASP-DAC 2023 Tutorial: Call for Proposals

The ASP-DAC 2023 Organizing Committee invites Tutorials' proposals to be held during the 28th Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC 2023) from Jan. 16th-19th 2023 (http://aspdac.com). ASP-DAC is the annual international conference on VLSI design automation in Asia and South Pacific region, one of the most active regions of design and fabrication of silicon chips in the world. ASP-DAC 2023 tutorials offer participants from different technical backgrounds the chance to explore innovative trends and learn new techniques from experts in the field. All tutorials will be 3-hours (or 1.5-hour) intense introductions to specific topics and presented during the tutorial time slots on Jan. 16th-19th, 2023. Suitable tutorial topics range from emerging research areas to established techniques of practical and industrial relevance. The suggested topics include (but are not limited to) design, methodology, design automation fundamentals, system architectures, edge computing, automotive electronics, hardware, and embedded system security, machine learning, and the Internet of Things.

In light of the continued Covid-19 pandemic situation, the format of the conference is subject to future change. The options include fully in-person conference, hybrid conference (in person plus live video presentation) and fully virtual conferences. Please check the ASP-DAC 2023 website for updates.

Tutorial Proposals

Please submit tutorial proposals by email to the Tutorial Co-Chairs. The proposal should include a (maximum) 2-page description of the tutorial and 1-page professional biographies of the tutorial speakers that highlight their qualifications and track record in the proposed subject area of the tutorial. The 2-page tutorial proposal should contain the following information:

1. Title and abstract:
Propose a title and an abstract that allows conference attendees to quickly and accurately understand the subject matter of the tutorial.

2. Motivation and focus:
Explain why your topic is important to the ASP-DAC community and what you hope the participants will learn by attending your tutorial. In this section, please provide a syllabus outlining the content of the tutorial and the learning outcomes. This syllabus should be realistic, given the time available.

3. List of speakers:
This is in addition to the tutorial organizers. Some tutorials may feature several speakers that should be advertised, but it is not necessary, nor a requirement. Tutorials should not become de facto mini-symposia with many speakers. If you plan to have multiple speakers, please provide their names, affiliations, short bios, and clearly describe the part of the tutorial that they will cover.
